Opening times: Sunday – Thursday 12noon – 12am, Friday & Saturday 12noon – 1am.
Food served 12pm – 2pm and 5pm – 9pm Tuesday – Friday and All Day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. Kitchen closed on Mondays, except Bank Holidays.
Located in the ‘West End’ quarter on George Street in central Buxton, Buxton Brewery Tap House and Buxton Brewery Cellar Bar boast a range of beers on cask and keg, as well as cider, wine, spirits and soft drinks for the non-beer drinkers.
Cosy seating, subtle lighting and exposed stone walls all add to the charm and ambience of the Grade II listed building, originally dating back to the mid 18th century.
Serving up small plates, sandwiches, burgers and freshly made pizzas. Freshly made wood fired pizzas and homemade bone marrow burgers and sides are served and made by The Cavendish Kitchen.
They regularly host live music on Friday and Saturday evenings, and have a post-show discount for ticket holders of shows at Buxton Opera House – the theatre is located just a couple of minutes walk down the road.

The brewery, first established in 2009, now makes upwards of 30 distinct brews of all kinds. Favourites include Axe Edge, Cavern Helles, Deepdale (Gluten Free) and Gatekeeper as well may other limited editions. Innovation and super-high quality are the prime goals, along with a nod to tradition.
All of the beers the brewery produces are designed to delight the senses and enthral the drinker. Not all beers are created equal, some are big and strong and full of powerful hops and malts, others are lighter, and have subtle nuances of flavour and aroma. All are intended to be enjoyed as a lovingly hand made product, nurtured by a small team of dedicated beer lovers.
