Join the Teddy Bears Picnic this Bank Holiday Weekend at Crich Tramway Village!
If you’re looking for things to do with the family this Bank Holiday Weekend, Crich Tramway Village, nr. Matlock in Derbyshire, invite you to join the Teddy Bear’s Picnic!
Enjoy a delightful Teddy Bears Picnic over the Bank Holiday on Sunday 25th & Monday 26thAugust (10am – 5.30pm – last admissions 4pm). Children are invited to bring their own teddy bear and enjoy a day of picnicking and fun.
The first 300 children to arrive with their teddy will receive a special badge, and there’s a teddy bear trail to explore from Wakebridge tram stop to Derwent View 10am – 4.30pm each day.
Get creative at Woodland Week: Until Friday 23rd August
This week, until Friday 23rd August, step into nature with Woodland Week! This event offers a chance to reconnect with the natural world through willow weaving, nature crafts, and captivating storytelling sessions. It’s a fun-filled week that encourages creativity and outdoor play. Keep an eye out for the daily programme, which will provide all the details you need to plan your woodland adventures.

Unlimited Vintage Tram Rides & More
While you’re at Crich Tramway Village, enjoy unlimited rides on the vintage trams that transport you back in time along a traditional village street and into the stunning open countryside of the Derwent Valley.
Stretch your legs on the Woodland Walk Sculpture Trail or take a break at the Red Lion Pub or Barnett’s sweet shop. There’s also a variety of refreshments available in The Poulson Room. Menus for breakfast, lunch, children’s meals, gluten-free, and vegan options are available here.
Save the date! Autumn sees return popular Steampunk Weekend
The ever popular Steampunk weekend returns in conjunction with Steampunks Always Welcome – Lincolnfor two amazing days on 7th & 8th September
Grab your goggles and dust off your cogs and gears as Victorian romanticism meets modern technology! Enjoy the alternative history combined with science fantasy and fun for all the family from 10am – 5pm each day.
Enjoy spiffing entertainment and tea duelling morning and afternoon.
Music on the bandstand from Daisy Roots, Boothill Toe tappers duo and Madame Misfit both days.
Flea Circus and Sam the Spam bunko booth.
Sunday: In addition to the above the FULL FATHOM FIVE, a Steampunk acapella group will perform traditional shanties with Steampunk flavoured lyrics. Lots of ancient songs with freshly hewn verse concerning tea, cake, zeppelins, biscuits, gin, jetpacks and more tea. Fab, Frivolous, Fun. Strap yourselves in for a rollocking good time!
You can obtain discounted day admission rates if you dress as a Steampunk.

You do NOT need to pre-book and can pay ON ARRIVAL and free return tickets CAN be used.
Standard entry full price tickets / 12 month return tickets (T&C’s apply): Adults and seniors £23, Children (aged 4 – 15) £14, Family (2 adults / 3 children or 1 adult 4 children) £52.
