Join the Teddy Bears Picnic this Bank Holiday Weekend at Crich Tramway Village!

Round off the summer holidays with family fun this Bank Holiday Weekend at Crich Tramway Village with the Teddy Bears Picnic promising fun and enjoyment for everyone!

Sunday the 28th and Monday the 29th of August wraps up the summer month in fantastic fashion with a delightful Teddy Bears Picnic and includes a Teddy Trail along the pretty Woodland Walk.

The first 400 children who bring a teddy receive a free badge. See what their busy teddy bears are doing this year in the teddy bear trail!



Enjoy the picnic show with Amy Zing with music for everyone to enjoy at the bandstand with popular 50s and 60s sounds of Rocks and Frocks.

Join the fun and make bears’ ears! Children can also get their faces painted by a professional face painter. Can you find the woodland teddy bear sculpture?!

Enjoy traditional games at Town End.

Explore the Woodland Walk and Sculpture Trail

While your here – explore the nature trails on offer at the village: The Woodland Walk & Sculpture Trail allows visitors to stretch their legs on a trail that winds its way through native woodland now dotted with sculptures. With breathtaking views across the Derwent Valley and Derbyshire Countryside the Woodland Walk is the perfect spot for a picnic.

Unlimited rides on the Vintage Trams

As usual, visitors to the village can enjoy unlimited rides on the vintage trams and Rita’s Tea Rooms and the Red Lion Pub will be open as usual serving refreshments.

Tickets and entry

Standard entry tickets are required: full price tickets / 12 month return tickets (T&C’s apply): Adults: £22, Seniors (60+) £19.50, Children (aged 4 – 15) £14, Family (2 adults / 3 children or 1 adult 4 children) £49.50. Disabled visitors Adult £15, Senior £15, Child (aged 4 – 15) £10.

Tickets provide free returns to Crich Tramway Village over a 12-month period (subject to opening dates and excluding the 1940s events). Returning ticket holders can use their ticket for all of the above events with no need to pre-book, just present your ticket or pay when you arrive.

Tickets can be purchased on the door when you visit or booked in advance online via their website.
