Buxton Opera House is to close it’s doors every Monday in January, to reduce its energy bills, management have said.
There are no performances on these days and therefore all lighting and heating within the venue will be switched off. Buxton Opera House staff, including the Box Office team, will be working remotely or at the offices across the road from the theatre.
Customers will still be able to purchase tickets over the phone or on the website, but they ask that you do not come to the venue as you won’t be able to buy or collect tickets in person on these days. Their phone lines may be busier than usual, so please bear this in mind when contacting the theatre.
The dates of closure are:
