Combine mystery with history and explore 1920s Buxton

Take the Waters • Enjoy The Scenery • Solve the Murders

Explore Buxton in the 1920s with this series of crime stories

These crime novels set in 1920s Buxton have become best sellers and the author, Celia Harwood, plans to publish further books later this year, due to the huge success of this collection of murder mystery novels.

The books combine the classic style murder mystery with background information about the history of Buxton and its buildings and the characters take part in events which actually did take place in the town in the 1920s. There are now three novels in the series and the action takes place against the backdrop of the changes brought about by WWI and the devastating effect that War had on ordinary people.
