Enjoy seaside fun at Crich Tramway Village this summer

Visitors won’t have to travel to the coast to have all the fun of the seaside this summer as Crich Tramway Village brings the British seaside inland to the Peak District for seven days from Saturday 25th May to Friday 31st May 2024.

Seaside Fun will see the village transformed into a family-themed seaside resort with a mini-beach area, Juggling shows with Juggling Jim (28th – 31st May), Professor Jon’s Flea Circus (25th May- 27th May), Punch and Judy, Howard Brother’s Funfair and more!

Plus take part in:

Bingo: Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday
Crafts: Monday & Wednesday: Jellyfish | Friday: Fish on a stick

The beach will be complete with deck chairs and buckets and spades for children to build their own sandcastles and there will be face painting, a balloon modeller and other games and craft activities for children to enjoy.

Visitors can also take unlimited rides on the ‘seaside’ trams dating back to the 1900s, transporting visitors along the traditional village street setting into open countryside with breathtaking views of Derwent Valley. There’s definitely a sense of stepping back in time along the recreated period street!

Enjoy refreshments in The Red Lion Pub, The Poulson Room (offering snacks and drinks until the new cafe is complete in Summer 2024), an array of traditional sweat treats in Barnett’s Sweet Shop and Matlock Meadows Ice Cream at the Ice Cream Kiosk.

The children will love the outdoor adventure playground and indoor play areas, and there are also fantastic exhibitions and a woodland park and sculpture trail, so there’s something to keep all the family entertained.
