The Old Sun Inn is a 17th-century converted coaching inn with a stone floor and oak panelling. This traditional pub is the second oldest building in Buxton, with a vintage styled interior, working fireplaces and cosy seating areas creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. With the log fires burning during colder months, the pub offers the ideal spot for a hearty meal and pint of ale. In summer the spacious beer gardens at the front and back are the perfect sun-trap.

Dog friendly, children welcome and muddy boots allowed.

Top quality lagers, real cask ales – ranging from Marston’s Pedigree and Wainright’s to more local brews such as Jaipur from Thornbridge Brewery in Bakewell. Bottled gluten free and alcohol free beer and lagers, cider and stout available on tap, a large variety of carefully chosen global wines, artisan spirits including a fantastic gin menu, a wide range of teas and Italian coffee.

British home-cooked dishes using locally sourced produce wherever possible featuring British pub classics such as Beer Battered Fish, Gammon, 8oz Rib Eye Steak, Homemade Five Bean Chilli, Local Sausages & Mash, Mac and Cheese and Halloumi and Falafel Kebab.
