Being both the gateway to Buxton’s premier show cave and the leafy realm of the country park, it would be weird if the cafe didn’t welcome dogs. The Cheshire Cheese
The ‘Cheese’ as its affectionally referred to locally is a large but cosy, traditional pub that serves Titanic Brewery real ales. There’s outdoor seating and there’s a roaring fire in winter too. Operated by Titanic Brewery, it offers a range of real ales, including Titanic’s own and guest beers. The menu features classic pub dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. The large beer garden is lovely. This spacious pub is always a fave dog friendly.

Pavilion Gardens
The famous Pavilion Gardens in the heart of Buxton are a grand place for dogs on leads and attached owners to take in the fresh air and Victorian splendour. The Pavilion building itself doesn’t allow them (except assistance dogs) but if it’s a nice day, you could claim one of the many tables on the promenade outside, partake in some refreshments and your four-legged friends can continue to enjoy meeting lots of furry chums.
