Opening Times: The main building will remain closed at this time. The Car Park remains open and the toilets in the Car Park are also open (toilets open 10am – 4pm). Opening times for different parts of the complex may change daily – please their website which is update daily at 9am.

- Following the easing of lockdown measures and government guidelines, some areas of the Pavilion Gardens are now open on reduced opening times – see below.
- Staff will be following strict hand washing guidelines and will be trained in COVID-19 precautions.
- Various measures are in place to ensure cleanliness and sanitisation.
- Card payments only at this time.
Monday – Sunday 10am – 3pm
Available for Pizza’s, cakes, snacks, hot drinks, cold drinks. Eat in or takeaway. Eat Out to Help Out offer is available here, Monday – Wednesday. Toilets in the Pavilion Kitchen are open 10am – 4pm.
Ice Cream Parlour window
Open 10am – 4pm every day
Takeaway only serving ice cream, hot drinks, cold drinks, cakes and snacks. Eat Out to Help Out offer is available here, Monday – Wednesday.
Lakeside Hut Kiosk
Opens at 10.30am – 4pm
Serving ice cream tubs, hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks. When the Kiosk is open the Kiosk toilets will also be open.
Boats and Pedaloes
Open 11am – 4pm every day.
Gallery in the Gardens
Open 11am – 3pm every day. Please note the Retail Arcade is currently closed.
Opens at 9.30am – 2.30pm during weekends and school holidays

Screens are now fitted to each seating area within the train and all areas on the train are being given enhanced sanitisation and cleaning.
Gardens and play areas
Due to weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances, there may be occasions where management deem it necessary to differentiate from the times given above. We will give as much notice as possible.
Children’s rides on the Promenade
Open 10am – 4pm every day
Dating back to 1871, nestled in 23 acres of gardens with water features, lakes and miniature railway.
Pavilion Cafe and Coffee Bar offer light snacks, full menu, hot and cold drinks and ice-cream.
Gallery in the Gardens (located in the Gift Boutique) showcases 40 local artist’s works and members of High Peak Artists group.
Boating Lake has rowing boats and pedalos – £10 for 30 minutes or £14 for 45 minutes per boat. The boats will re-open in Spring 2020. Boats take up to 4 people and will be available 10.30am Monday – Saturday with last admission at 4pm, and from 12.30pm on Sundays, with last admission at 4pm.
Tourist Information is now available at the Buxton Visitor Centre in the The Pump Room, near The Crescent, where knowledgable staff can offer local tourist information about Buxton, the High Peak and Peak District area.
There is a year round programme of events of markets, fairs and children’s activities as well as special events during Easter, summer and at Christmas.
Parking is available on site at the 270 space parking bay located on the corner of St. John’s Road and Burlington Road. Please note that the under section of the car park closes and is locked between the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00am. Cars wishing to be released after 6pm and before 8am will incur a charge. There are eight disabled car parking bays on the ground level of the car park.
Coach parking: Pavilion Gardens allows coaches to drop their passengers off on the Promenade by prior arrangement. Coach parking is available on Burlington Road (SK17 9AY). Coaches can also park on the Promenade provided that they have arranged this prior to visiting. Additionally the Sylvan Coach park is situated off the roundabout at the intersection of the A6/A53.
