Family Fun this Spring at Crich Tramway Village
There’s a packed programme of springtime fun coming to Crich Tramway Village this season, with two unmissable family-friendly events: Easter Eggstra over the Easter weekend and Magical May on the early May Bank Holiday.
🐣 Easter Eggstra – Easter Weekend Fun
Looking for a cracking day out this Easter? Head to Crich Tramway Village for Easter Eggstra 18th – 21st April, where young explorers can go on an “Eggventure” and help the Super Eggs save Easter on a fun-filled themed trail. Complete the trail and win a seasonal prize! (additional charge for trail of £2 per child).
Expect a whole host of activities for all ages:

Easter Trail: Pick up your trail map from the Learning Centre.

Egg Rolling: Join the fun on Hyde Road near the bandstand at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm (eggs provided!).

Easter Fun Show: Held at Town End daily at 12.30pm, 1.30pm, and 2.30pm.

Face Painting: From 11am–1pm and 1.30pm–3.30pm near the bandstand (or in the Exhibition Hall if wet).

Make Your Own Chick Hat: Craft an Easter bonnet chicken hat in the marquee between 11am and 3.30pm (donations welcome).

Superhero Sightings: Look out for costumed characters roaming the site between 11am and 3pm.

Mr. Bunny Appearances: Spot the Easter Bunny with appearances throughout the day.
It’s a packed weekend, guaranteed to keep the kids smiling!
✨ Magical May – A Touch of Enchantment
Step into a world of wonder on the 4th and 5th May (early May Bank Holiday) with Magical May – a celebration of fairy-tale fun for all the family. Follow the popular Fairy Trail, meet the Fairy Queen, and don’t forget to make a wish!
Activities include:

Make Your Own Wand: Get crafty and create your own magical accessory.

Fairy Dens & Wizard School: Build your own hideaway in the woods or train like a wizard!

Magical Characters: Spot meadow sprites and the wandering Wizard as they make their way around the village.

Face Painting & Folk Music: A musical and colourful addition to event.

Maypole Dancing: Join in on Monday 5th May for some traditional fun.
There will be folk music during the weekend with The Boot Hill Toe Tappers on Sunday and Malin Hill on Monday.

Unlimited Tram Rides & More to Explore
No visit is complete without riding the vintage trams through the charming period street and stunning countryside of the Derwent Valley. Included in your ticket, these unlimited rides offer a unique way to experience the past.

Walks, Sculptures & Picnics
Stretch your legs with a visit to the Woodland Walk and Sculpture Trail. This peaceful route is dog-friendly and dotted with quirky characters like the Troll and Green Man – great for little adventurers and grown-up nature lovers alike. Pack a picnic and take in the views!

Pre-booked online: (12 month return tickets – T&C’s apply) : Adults and seniors £23, Children (aged 4 – 15) £14, Family (2 adults / 3 children or 1 adult 4 children) £52.
Tickets can also be purchased on the day when you arrive.
