If you’re looking for family-friendly fun this August Bank Holiday, why not head to Crich Tramway Village, near Matlock in Derbyshire, for a magical Teddy Bears Picnic? Taking place on Sunday 24th and Monday 25th August, from 10am to 5.30pm (last admissions at 4pm), this charming event promises two days of nostalgic entertainment, outdoor adventure, and teddy bear-themed activities for all ages.

Bring Your Teddy – Get a Free Badge!

Children are encouraged to bring along their favourite teddy bear to join in the fun – and as a special treat, they’ll receive a free badge to mark the occasion.

Follow the Teddy Bear Trail

Explore the whimsical teddy bear trail from Wakebridge Tram Stop to Derwent View, running 10am – 4.30pm each day. Keep your eyes peeled for what the busy teddy bears are up to this year – a delightful experience for little ones and grown-ups alike!

Live Entertainment & Music

Don’t miss the Teddy Bears Picnic Show with the ever-popular Amy Zing, who will be performing at 12.30pm, 1.30pm, and 2.30pm. Expect laughter, interaction, and plenty of teddy bear magic.

For music lovers, the infectious rock ‘n’ roll sounds of Rocks and Frocks will get your feet tapping at the bandstand, with sets at 1.00pm and 2.30pm – perfect for dancing with your teddy or just enjoying the retro vibes.

  • A vintage penny arcade (small charge) – nostalgic fun for kids and adults alike.

Unlimited Vintage Tram Rides

Entry and Ticket Bookings

You do NOT need to pre-book and can pay ON ARRIVAL and free return tickets CAN be used for this event.

Pre-booked online / 12 month return tickets (T&C’s apply): Adults and seniors £23, Children (aged 4 – 15) £14, Family (2 adults / 3 children or 1 adult 4 children) £55.

Crich Tramway have joined forces with several other attractions in Derbyshire, including Buxton’s Poole’s Cavern and Buxton Crescent Experience, to offer discounts on entry tickets. Click here to see more details.
