About
Samudra Kadampa Buddhist Centre exists to provide everybody in the High Peak of Derbyshire, East Cheshire and Staffordshire Moorlands with the opportunity to learn about and practice Buddha’s teachings. To fulfil this aim they have created a peaceful sanctuary located in the centre of Buxton.
They offer classes on meditation and Buddhism at all levels with the aim of helping anyone who is interested find inner peace and a solution to daily problems. Everyone is welcome.
Based on the books of the modern day Buddhist teacher and meditation master, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, Buddha’s teachings are presented in an accessible manner that can easily be integrated into busy modern life. The word Samudra is Sanskrit for Gyatso which means ocean.
