Opening times: Various time slots are available – please check their online calendar when booking
Entry / Cost: £70 per booking (up to six people can be included on one booking)
The farm is a five acre small holding in the hamlet of Tunstead Milton on a hillside on the outskirts of Chapel-en-le-Frith, with views of Combes Reservoir and across the Peak District Hills.
Have you ever wanted to walk an alpaca, or cuddle and feed one? Do you want to know more about these wonderful animals? If so, this is the experience for you! Meet, learn about and handle these calm, friendly creatures as you walk through the surrounding farm land and woodland.
Group sizes are small (price per booking is up to six people) so you will have a more intimate experience which will allow you some time to bond with your new alpaca friend.
Upon arrival at the farm, as you take in the view, refresh yourself before a short talk on the alpacas:
How to keep you and your Alpaca safe during the walk
How to put your Alpaca at ease and gain the most from your experience.
The care and husbandry tasks that they provide for their alpacas
During the talk, you will be matched to the alpaca best suited to you. Your alpaca experience begins as you head off with the team into the surrounding woodlands and fields. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the scenic countryside and the sounds of nature with your new alpaca friend by your side!
You’ll stop along the way to allow you time to pet the alpacas, get to know them and have some photo opportunities. Feel their fluffy fleece, hand feed them treats and if you wish you can collect some alpaca poop to make some “fertiliser tea” once you return home to help your garden grow!
You will leave the experience with increased knowledge about these fascinating animals and benefit from some time in their company. The experience lasts approximately 90 minutes. Children under 8 cannot handle the alpacas for safety reasons, children 8-14 must handle the alpaca with an adult and children over 14 can handle their own.
The experience can be tailored to suit guest needs and they can also host larger parties of people for special events – contact Naze View Farm to find out more.
Whilst at the farm you will also have the opportunity to meet some Swiss Valais blackboard sheep and other furry and feathery friends.
Naze View Barn: There is also self catering accommodation on site which sleeps up to four – a recently refurbished converted barn with all mod cons.
