Lavender & Green opened its colourful doors to the people of Buxton in October 2017 and has quickly become Buxton’s go to shop for gifting and a wide range of wellbeing goods – made on the family’s very own lavender farm in Somerset.
Owner Amy Green grew up in Somerset on the lavender farm working alongside her parents for many years, giving her a wealth of knowledge about the growing, distilling and uses of lavender.
Somerset Lavender was established in 2010 by Judith and Francis Green who converted the land from a dairy farm and is now home to over 50,000 lavender plants and over 20 different varieties of lavender. From this they have lovingly created over 50 lavender products, which Lavender & Green is proud to stock in its entirety in its Buxton store.

“I admire my parents work enormously and I want to give people an opportunity to experience their stunning range of products,” Amy Green says. The items range from essential oils, natural body care to culinary items such as lavender sugar which adds that little something different to the avid baker’s pantry.
But it’s not just lavender that is offered here, “It is really important to me that there is something here for everyone in my shop. I’m very passionate about showing that no matter what your age, personality or style, you can find something you really love in Lavender & Green”, Amy goes on to say, “ Which is why we have developed our own fantastic range of natural plant based fragrance and body care products complemented by an extensive range of home goods and gifting pieces. All of our fragrance and body care products are paraben free and are all vegan friendly”.
Perfect presents
There is a wealth of stunning homewares and gifting items on offer, which range from eclectic hand painted pots and vases to macramé and so much more. “ Our goal is to offer something different to the average products that are on the market currently, and show people that natural, different and plant based products are the most effective way to curate a calming environment for your home and lifestyle.”
