Have your say on Buxton’s bold new gateway as The Springs is set for a major makeover

Buxton is on the brink of an exciting transformation — and you’re invited to help shape it.

Capital & Centric, in partnership with High Peak Borough Council, have revealed early-stage plans to revitalise The Springs Shopping Centre into a vibrant new gateway to the town. As part of their commitment to community involvement, the developers have launched a public consultation to gather local views and ideas.

Meet the team at the Drop-in

The first opportunity to get involved is a drop-in event on Thursday 15th May 2025, from 3pm to 8pm, at The Community Space (former Track and Trail store), 11 Spring Gardens, Buxton, SK17 6BJ. Locals are encouraged to pop in, meet the team behind the project, grab a brew, and most importantly — have their say.

The redevelopment aims to breathe new life into The Springs, creating a space that complements Buxton’s unique character while offering fresh reasons to visit, shop, and spend time in the town.

“We want to add to what already makes Buxton an awesome place to live and spend time in, and ensure it remains a destination for many years to come,” say the developers.

The consultation is open until Friday 30th May 2025, and there are several ways you can get involved:
