Best of all, you don’t need to be staying at the hotel to enjoy it. The lounge – and the equally inviting Rippon Bar – are open to everyone, making them a great addition to Buxton’s social scene.

Just beyond, the refurbished Rippon Bar offers a completely different mood. With its outdoor terrace overlooking peaceful gardens, it’s a hidden gem that feels far removed from the bustle of town – despite being only moments from Buxton Railway Station and the centre.
On warm evenings, the terrace becomes the perfect spot to sip something cold, enjoy good food, and soak up those easy summer vibes. Currently open from 5pm to 11pm every Friday and Saturday, it’s a great way to ease into the weekend.
