Buxton International Festival has announced an extraordinary programme for 2023 and arguably our most ambitious yet, running from 6-23 July.
Join them as they celebrate their highly anticipated opening weekend of opera and music, where they will be rolling out the red carpet to celebrate the musical royalty featured in our programme.
Experience brand new world-class opera productions, some of the best names in jazz and internationally renowned classical music concerts all in one weekend.
DISCOUNTS for groups of 10+
Enjoy an unforgettable evening with friends or colleagues – groups of 10+ can enjoy 10% discount on ticket prices, alternatively if you book for all three operas, there is also a 10% saving on tickets.
This special opening weekend from 7 – 10 July presents the premiere of our brand new musical The Land Of Might-Have-Been based on the early life of Buxton’s Vera Brittain. As well as Bellini’s La sonnambula and Mozart’s Il re pastore.
Dress to impress in your finest attire and get ready to walk the red carpet with their photographer on hand to capture the memories of your evening!
Young musicians from the Dark Peak Music Foundation will be playing music on the forecourt of the Opera House each night over the weekend.
To make the experience even more special, they are pleased to announce the opening of Buxton’s newest Champagne Bar inside the recently renovated Pavilion Gardens Conservatory. As you walk the red carpet to see world-class musicians and writers, enjoy a glass of bubbly to add to the festivities.
