The Old Clubhouse pub in Buxton has reopened to the public following a substantial six-figure investment aimed at revitalising its historic charm with fresh, modern touches, giving the pub a new lease of life.
The popular Greene King site closed its doors back in September, and the renovations promised an updated and inviting environment for locals and visitors alike while maintaining the pub’s original Grade II listed features and character.
Revamped and reimagined – with upstairs area transformed
Inside, The Old Clubhouse now boasts a refreshed décor with modern, muted, and classic tones, along with new furniture. The upstairs area has been transformed into an expanded restaurant space, adding 99 new covers providing an efficient and comfortable dining experience.
The pub’s exterior also been revamped, with new bistro-style furniture, allowing guests to relax outdoors in comfort throughout the year.
Fresh flavours – with a brand new menu
The pub reopens with an enhanced menu which includes pub classics like burgers, small plates, and a hearty Sunday Roast, with great value deals available such as a two-for £15.49 and special senior deal. The Old Clubhouse will also be offering a signature goulash, made fresh daily, where guests can say goodbye to long wait times, perfect for busy days.
Traditionally, hearty goulash has warmed and fuelled walkers and ramblers visiting The Old Clubhouse’s sister pubs in the Lake District. Now, they’re bringing this beloved tradition to the heart of the Peak District, for locals and visitors to enjoy.
