Step into the delicious world of The Buxton Trading Post, where handmade delights await! The shop offers a carefully curated range of gifts and original art work from local craft makers and artisans as well as wide range of the finest locally sourced food and produce and a well-stocked delicatessen counter.

They has become renowned for their handmade sausages, scotch eggs, sausage rolls and pies, all made on the premises; they now supply their sausages and more to Café in the Cavern at Poole’s Cavern as well as other outlets in the area.

The deli counter not only boasts a range of their handmade exceptional sausages in a variety of flavours but also an array of cheeses from around the UK and the local area, charcuterie, black pudding and more.

Owners Lawrence and Philip pride themselves on independent producers and the shop has already earned a reputation for offering something new and different to the high street in Buxton.

If you are feeling adventurous and for those wanting to try something a little different there is a variety of exotic meats ranging from crocodile steaks to Kangaroo burgers.

For coffee lovers, don’t miss their signature ‘Buxton Blend’ hand roasted coffee from Peak Bean roasters.

You’ll also find an ever-changing variety of homemade preserves, honey, jams, chutneys, pickles and sauces as well as range of dry and chilled world foods from across the globe.

The shop is home to a growing number of artists’s work from Derbyshire and the Peak District with fine art original works, limited edition prints, greetings cards and framed artwork.

The Buxton Trading Post now offers its exclusive candle collection, featuring four enticing fragrances crafted in the nearby Derbyshire village of Tissington.

Alongside fine art work, The Buxton Trading Post is the go-to destination for one-of-a-kind gifts and homewares made by local craftspeople such as handmade timber kitchen accessories, kitchen utensils made from up-cycled whisky barrels, handmade cosmetic bags, tea towels, needle felted gifts, candles, hand stitched animals, tote bags, handmade Jesmonite gifts and homewares and more.
