In connection with National Apprenticeship Week 2022 (Feb 7th to 13th), Buxton & Leek College catering apprentices will be putting on a meal to showcase their skills to the local community.
The apprenticeship team at BLC have decided to give back to the local residents that have helped others during the pandemic, by cooking a 3-course deluxe dinner at the glittering Devonshire Dome on Monday 7th February 2022, at 12noon.
Tom Malpass, College Business Development Manager for Apprenticeships, one of the organisers of the event, said:
“We wanted to acknowledge all the tireless work that people in our community have demonstrated over the last few years. The pandemic has been hard for everyone and we’ve had to pull together. BLC’s NAW 2022 meal is our opportunity to say thank you to those amongst us that have gone the extra mile – our pandemic heroes.”
The College is asking the local community to nominate their pandemic hero by 5pm on Friday 17th December 2021.
Organisers will then select people at random from those nominated, to be invited to the fine-dining restaurant to enjoy a relaxed luxury lunch, cooked by the highly-skilled culinary apprentice team.
