Buxton Opera House’s January 2026 programme included country music at the Opera House and a community play at the Pavilion Arts Centre. The following are highlights from the advertised programme.
A Month of Country Music Favourites
Country Roads was advertised at Buxton Opera House on Friday 23 January 2026, with a programme of country classics including 9 to 5, The Gambler and Walk the Line.
Beautiful Crazy: The Luke Combs Collection was advertised for Wednesday 28 January 2026 at the Opera House. The tribute show featured singer Noel Boland and songs including Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma, Where the Wild Things Are and Fast Car.
A community play inspired by Buxton
Buxton Opera House’s community play The Buxton Faun was advertised at the Pavilion Arts Centre for 31 January and 1 February 2026. Written by Susie Bennett, it follows Sally and her cat Veronica through a magical story inspired by Buxton and the Peak District, with a cast of local community members.
