The High Peak Borough Council Culture Strategy will shape how arts, heritage, and culture can enrich the lives of everyone who lives, works, or does business in the High Peak by 2030. This strategy will include a clear action plan – a practical, evolving roadmap to help bring this vision to life.
But to make it truly meaningful, they need YOUR voice.
Whether you’re a professional artist, someone who occasionally takes part in local events, or you’ve never really engaged with arts and culture before – your views matter. This is your chance to help shape a cultural future that reflects the whole community.

How can I get involved?
Online forum
In person, community forums have already taken place around the High Peak, you can still get involved in shaping the future of arts, heritage, and culture across the High Peak:
🎧 Join the final online forum on Sunday 9th June, 6pm – 7.30pm
This is a chance to connect with others working in or passionate about the local creative scene – from individual artists and cultural organisations to volunteers and community groups. We’ll be discussing shared priorities, ambitions, challenges, and mapping cultural activity across the borough.
Everyone is welcome – they are keen to hear from local people on what cultural activities you participate in, where you visit, and if you don’t, what the barriers are to taking part.
