Celebrate summer at Chatsworth with fun for all the family in the house, garden, farmyard and playground. With outdoor cinema and theatre, delicious local food, live music and more and of course the hugely popular annual Chatsworth Country Fair, the varied summer events programme has something for everyone of all ages.
Estate farm shop food fair | 25th – 28th July
Visit the estate farm shop for a few delicious days with a difference; there will be over 35 local suppliers each day offering tastings, cooking advice and special offers. This is a free event with free parking.
Outdoor cinema | 26th & 27th July
Enjoy a movie under the stars in the spectacular open-air setting of the Chatsworth Garden. Mary Poppins Returns will be shown on Friday 26 July, a long awaited sequel to Disney’s musical masterpiece, while on Saturday 27 July you can enjoy Bohemian Rhapsody, the story of legendary British rock band Queen and lead singer Freddie Mercury.
Afternoon tea at the Maze | 28th July – 31st August
Enjoy a delectable afternoon tea experience al fresco and a glass of Laurent-Perrier under cover while taking in summer views of the Maze and surrounding garden. Afterwards explore the garden at your leisure. The menu includes an assiette of hand cut sandwiches, freshly baked scones and a whole host of sweet treats.
Gin and jazz in the garden | 31st July & 10th August
Visit the maze for an evening of fine food, gin and jazz. The evening begins with a Manchester gin cocktail of your choice, followed by a delectable summer picnic and live music.
Outdoor theatre | 7th August
Take a picnic and spend a glorious summer’s evening at Chatsworth watching one of Shakespeare’s most popular and best-loved comedies, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Performed in the open air, by an all-male cast with Elizabethan costume, music and dance, this is undoubtedly one of the hottest tickets of the summer.
Bubbles and Bublé in the garden | 17th & 23rd August
Enjoy a night out to remember with a glass of bubbles on arrival followed a selection of salads and meat and a Michael Bublé tribute act by Lee Hutton.
Chatsworth Country Fair | 30th August – 1st September
The Chatsworth Country Fair is a memorable day out for all the family, offering a whole host of activities, displays and performances. Marvel at the Ukranian Cossack Stunt Team as they perform daredevil stunts on horseback, enjoy the Bolddog Lings Freestyle Motocross Display Team as they demonstrate heart-stopping tricks while 35ft in the air, and in the showground try your hand at heritage country sports and rural crafts. There’s also a great line-up in the cookery theatre with Mary Berry, James Martin and the Hairy Bikers all showcasing their talents.
