The Wishmakers of Buxton: Christmas Family Craft Activity
Step into the magical Wish Makers’ workshop — a nostalgic world of candlelit shopfronts and bustling Victorian crafts. Meet characters from the past as you create your own pocket watch, decorate a delicious shoe-shaped biscuit, dress up in costume, and enjoy festive storytelling.

An evening of haunting Christmastide ghost stories with Edwyrdian Tales
Gather close for an evening of atmospheric ghost stories told in true Victorian style. Edwyrdian Tales brings chilling classics to life in this one-man performance by Matthew Wood — perfect for those who like their Christmas with a hint of the uncanny.

Babbling Vagabonds – Captain Sprout and the Christmas Pirates
Ahoy families! Join the Babbling Vagabonds for an action-packed festive adventure featuring rogue pirates, magical shadow puppetry, original music, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. Help young Freddy Frith stop Captain Sprout from stealing Christmas in this joyful show full of audience participation.

Organised by Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust and Buxton Our Street.
This Christmas, step into the heart of Buxton and enjoy a programme of free events celebrating local music, drama, crafts and more. Whether you want to join in, watch from the sidelines or simply soak up the atmosphere, everyone is welcome.
Most events run from 4pm – 6pm, are open to all ages, and offer a relaxed way to experience the town’s festive spirit. You’ll also find opportunities to buy refreshments and gifts, though there’s no obligation.
As you wander, each participating building and shop reveals its own story. Discover Buxton’s heritage through windows that come alive with creativity, community and Christmas cheer.
Refreshments and gifts are available to purchase, but there’s no obligation. Each window tells a story, inviting you to rediscover Buxton in a brand-new way.

Brick Corner – LEGO® Sessions at The Pump Room
Festive LEGO® Robotics & Coding Workshop
Young builders will design, build, and code their own moving LEGO models with a seasonal twist. With guided support and plenty of creativity, this 75-minute workshop is perfect for curious minds.
