A Grand Opening: David Seaman MBE cuts the ribbon to mark Champneys’ arrival at Buxton Crescent

A new chapter of wellness has officially begun in Buxton, as Champneys – the iconic name in British spa and wellbeing – has formally taken over the historic Buxton Crescent Hotel.

The handover was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday 5th December, led by David Seaman MBE former England footballer. He was joined by Alan Whiteley, CEO of Champneys, Theo Hajoglou, Director at Cheyne Capital, and representatives from Derbyshire County Council, signalling a strong partnership dedicated to safeguarding and elevating the Crescent’s legacy.

Fresh from being named Europe’s Best Day Spa, England’s Best Day Spa, and England’s Best Wellness Retreat at the World Spa Awards, Champneys now brings its celebrated approach to this historic spa town.
