This trail aims to encourage everyone in the community to get involved, while also raising awareness and support for Blythe House Hospice. After the trail ends, the sculptures will be auctioned to help fund the hospice’s vital work.

Who Created the Snowdogs Trail?

The trail was brought to life by Wild in Art, a Whaley Bridge-based company known for creating public art trails across the UK and beyond. These trails help charities, businesses, and communities come together for memorable events – and Buxton’s Snowdog trail is no exception!

The inspiration for the sculptures comes from the beloved story The Snowman and The Snowdog, the animated sequel to Raymond Briggs’ timeless book The Snowman™. In the story, a young boy builds a snowman and a snowdog, who both magically come to life at midnight. This festive theme makes the trail perfect ahead of Christmas.
