Established in 1860 Potters was founded as a department store selling fine quality clothing, hosiery and textiles. Over the past 165 years the commitment to fine quality and the highest level of customer service has remained at the heart of this family business that is still run by the Nuttall family who bought the store in 1971. They handpick seasonal collections so customers can be assured that quality underpins each piece. Today, Potters of Buxton offers a unique shopping experience within a shop steeped in history and period charm, yet fully immersed in the present with their offering of modern and iconic quality brands that are sold both in-store and online via their website.
The women’s department covers all you would expect including coats and jackets, dresses, jeans, knitwear, jumpsuits, skirts, sweatshirts and hoodies, trousers and shorts and underwear as well as a range of accessories. With a host of brands ranging from the coastal inspired Seasalt, to the modern country classics of Barbour and customer favourites Soya Concept, Masai, and Robell there, is a lot explore under the chandeliers in the women’s department.
Similarly, the men’s department offers all you need for a full wardrobe refresh or a one-off special piece, including coats and jackets, jeans, polo shirts and shirts, trousers and chinos, shorts, t-shirts and tops, sweatshirts and hoodies, nightwear and underwear as well as a range of accessories.
