Crich Tramway Village will relive the bygone eras with their Vintage Day on 23rd September 2018 – family fun with a vintage theme, embracing the 1950s, 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s. Take on the challenge with a selection of your favourite classic board games including Kerplunk, Connect 4, Screwball Scramble, Snakes and Ladders, Staying Alive and more to take you back to pre-internet gaming!

A collection of glamorous 1950s swimwear will add to the ambience and you can browse the vintage and retro market stalls in the Exhibition Hall.

Vintage singer Lula May

Immerse yourself in music from the 1950s and 1960s, performed at the Band Stand by entertainers Kev Mac, Lula May and rock and roll band, The Rapids. Sounds of the 1970s and 1980s will be played at Town End!

Outdoor carnival games to test your skills will feature splat the rat, high striker, limbo and hoola hoops.

Visitors to the event can enjoy unlimited rides on the vintage trams and don’t miss the Bundy Clock at Town End Terminus, the tram depots and the adjacent Exhibition Hall. There’s plenty to see and do for all the family in the village which offers breath-taking views of the surrounding Derwent Valley.

A selection of vintage cars and motorcycles will be on display; if you wish to display a vehicle dated between 1950 and 1989 download the booking form here and return your form no later than Friday 31st August 2018. If you are a trader and wish to sell vintage items, contact Crich Tramway Village on Tel: 01773 854321. Cost for trading is £20.00 for an indoor stall and £35.00 for an outdoor stall per 6ft. x 3ft table / space.

Continue your step back in time and soak up the atmosphere with a drink in the Red Lion Pub, a visit to the old style sweet shop – Barnett’s or refreshments in Rita’s Tearooms.

Vintage Day at Crich Tramway Village takes place on 23rd September 2018 at The National Tramway Museum, Crich Tramway Village, nr Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 5DP.


To purchase tickets, standard admission tickets are required. To book online go to www.tramway.co.uk/tickets. Tickets for this event can be used to return to Crich Tramway Village, free of charge for up to 12 months. Terms and conditions apply.

Tickets cost: £17 for adults, £13 for seniors (aged 60+), £10 for children (aged 4 – 15 years) and family ticket (2 adults, 3 children) £40. Save 50p on standard priced tickets by booking online at least 24 hours before arrival.

Crich Tramway Village is open daily from 10.00am – 5.30pm (last admissions 4.00pm) until 2nd September 2018 (Main season). Winter season commences 3rd September 2018 – Opening times: 10am – 4:30pm (last admissions 3.00pm).
