Starlight Extravaganza 2018

The Starlight Extravaganza 2018 at Crich Tramway Village gives you the chance to meet super hero’s on Super Hero Day, mingle with unicornsmeet swash buckling pirates and lots more every!

From Monday 29th October – Saturday 3rd November 2018, there’s a packed programme of events and activities for all the family throughout the week. Visitors can enjoy riding the illuminated vintage trams in the dark and exploring the village featuring special lighting effects.

Nominate your local hero

There will be a ‘Local Hero’ competition, where you can nominate someone you think deserves recognition. The entries will be judged and the winner will officially turn on the lights to open the Starlight Extravaganza event on Monday 29th October at 5.30pm. Calling all unicorn lovers! The week begins with Unicorn Day featuring two characters giving entertainment and visitors are encouraged to wear their very own unicorn colours.

Bring your own Light Sabre to Galactic Wars on Tuesday–  and take intergalactic training sessions…

All week you’ll find look-a-like characters in the village such as Spiderman, Super Girl and Batman on Thursday and Alice and the Madhatter on Friday.

Children dressing in Super Heroes costumes will get free admission on Thursday 1st November.

Trams will run until 8pm on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, until 7pm on Tuesday and Wednesday and until 4pm on Sunday.

The Craft Fair will be held in the Exhibition Hall Monday – Friday – so a great opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts whilst enjoying the Century of Trams exhibition.

Visitors who have already purchased their tickets offering 12- month free return, may use their tickets for this event as many times as they wish, so it could prove to be a great value week to keep the children entertained during the school holiday.
