To keep the magic of Christmas alive at Lyme they will once again be hosting their popular ‘An Audience with Father Christmas’. Come and meet Father Christmas, Mother Christmas and their helpers in the Chapel at Lyme this festive season. Hear a story and receive a special present too! This year the Chapel will be made warm and magical, complete with tree, decorations, music and rugs to sit on. After listening to an enchanting Christmas story read by Mother Christmas children will then be invited to receive a gift directly from Father Christmas himself. His grotto is situated behind the ‘1530 The Restaurant’. Enjoy a magical wander through the Enchanted Garden to Santa’s House & Workshop. Castleton looks spectacular at Christmas and is well known for its many Christmas trees which lines the streets, so its very much well worth the visit and one of the Peak District’s prettiest villages.

Arrive at Waterside Winter Wonderland, where Santa’s Chief Elf and his team of elves will lead you through the Enchanted Forest and the Valley of Christmas lights to Santa’s Woodland Grotto. Meet the reindeer* and adults get to sample some mulled wine and mince pies. During your visit you can take a trip on the Santa Special train through the tunnel of discovery, meet the balloon modeller (from 1:00pm – 5:00pm) and watch our Christmas show. Visit Father Christmas in his magical grotto at Chesterfield Market Hall from the 19th November. There is no need to book just turn up on the day for your child to have a chat with Santa and receive a gift. The grotto will be located upstairs in the Market Hall (on the Mezzanine). The grotto has been organised by Chesterfield Borough Council and the Healthy High Streets Initiative.
