RedWillow Buxton opened its doors on Saturday 16th December as the latest addition to Buxton’s growing food and drink scene and we decided to head down there to take a look at how they’ve converted former RBS Bank.
The Macclesfield based brewery have spent the last couple of months carefully working with the original features of the building and visitors won’t be disappointed, the original mahogany features of the former bank have been beautifully incorporated into the bar, there’s a brand new mezzanine seating area and the former manager’s office is now a cosy snug – which we love…
Owner Caroline Mckenzie said “Buxton is a lovely place and it felt like the right time to do it – there are exciting times ahead for the town and a real sense of civic pride in Buxton and we love the mix of interesting, independent businesses here too. The town has an individuality we really liked and so when we saw the opportunity to expand here, we were really excited”.
“With 20 craft beers on tap, over 50 artisan gins to choose from and frizzante on tap, there is something for everyone!” said team member Molly.
“Our cocktails will be ever-changing and seasonal so there will always be something new to try. Regular tasting events will be hosted throughout the year, showcasing Gins, Rums and all manner of tipples. It’s always great to try something new and quirky and want to share that with you.”
“We’ll be serving food in the near future with all of our homemade dishes. The menu will feature sharing plates and a range of stone baked pizzas with seasonal specials. We look forward to meeting our new customers local to Buxton and further afield”.
