Buxton Well Dressing Festival is well under way as the three wells were unveiled at weekend…don’t they look fantastic?!

The well on the Market Place celebrates the 50th anniversary of Buxton Civic Association, who run Poole’s Cavern and Grinlow Country Park. It also manages many of Buxton’s woods, creating the ‘Ring of Trees’ trail around many of the prettiest woodlands around the town.

The well located in The Crescent commemorates the centenary of the consecration of St. Mary’s Church on Dale Road, Buxton. The design of the church was influenced by the Northern Arts and Crafts movement. The simple clean lines of the church contribute to the unique atmosphere within this beautiful building.

The children’s well at the end of Spring Gardens celebrates all that is Buxton, created by Buxton Community School pupils.
