Situated in a Georgian Regency style property, No.6 is a traditional English tea room with beautiful Victorian style decor.
The building here is most notable as the house occupied by Buxton’s most eminent medical specialist, Dr. William Henry Robinson (1810 – 1897) who lived and had consulting rooms here for more than 35 years.
Breakfast is served until 11.30am which includes Derbyshire Oatcakes, free range eggs, farmhouse bacon and sausages and the Full English Breakfast.
The menu features local produce and light lunches and snacks including homemade cakes, quiche, soup of the day, sandwiches, fish platter, welsh rabbit, teacakes and scones.
Traditional Afternoon Tea is served – it is advisable to book ahead.
Gluten free breads and a gluten free Afternoon Tea is available.
A wide selection of teas and herbal teas and fresh coffees are served.
Cold drinks served include Belvoir Presse, Folkington’s and Fentiman’s.
Selected wines and bottles beers are also served.
