Eat in the Park 2022 – Back with new VIP area and EITP dance tent

Eat in the Park 2022

Eat in the Park is back for 2022! Those of you who had tickets for the first ever Eat in the Park last year, you will already know that the two-day family-friendly food and music festival in Buxton’s Pavilion Gardens was a roaring success. If you missed out on the fun in 2021, now’s your chance to find out what all the fuss is about but don’t think about it too long; tickets for 20th & 21st August are selling fast.

Considering last year was the pioneer event, it went remarkably well. Eat in the Park repeats the same successful formula: Two days of music from some of the greatest tribute bands the UK has to offer as well as local talent over two stages. As well as the music, there will be a wide variety of food vendors serving up delish street and takeaway food with flavours from around the globe with plenty of vegan and vege options. Level 2, The Arches, Buxton Brewery and white l_bel BAR will be across the festival site with pop up bars.

New for this year, the EITP dance tent with everything from house, D&B, Northern Soul and more with something for all ages, line-up TBC v.soon! The VIP area has also been enhanced for even more of a VIP vibe; you’ll be able to enjoy drinks from its snazzy rooftop bar while watching the main stage.

Saturday’s headliners are official Arctic Monkeys tribute band Antarctic Monkeys, supported by the familiar melodies of Abba mimics Revival. Sunday; Killer Queen will rock you and Coldplace (Coldplay tribute) and The Ed Sheeran Experience (Ed Sheeran tribute) are on the line-up. Alternatively, the local bands tent will be pulsating with the abundance of homegrown sounds during the weekend on both days.

Of course, the focus will again be on families. Buxton is a family-orientated place and Eat in the Park reflects the town atmos. Under 5s go free and the kids are well catered for with a variety of entertainment and activities for all the family; performances on the main stage by Frozen & Friends, bubble artists, dancing, multi-sports, face-painting, magicians, circus skills workshops and more.

Eat in the Park offers the full festival experience, without the camping, so you can go home to the comfort of your own bed!

Organisers, Jake and George are local lads and the festival is their pride and joy. “We cannot wait for the second Eat in the Park to take place in Buxton this year. We spent the rest of 2021 talking to festival-goers, suppliers & vendors to get their feedback on how we can make EITP even better in 2022 and we feel we have tried to put as many of those into action as possible for this year. We were blown away by the attendance and atmosphere at EITP last year and cannot wait to relive it all again in a few weeks’ time! We have moved the VIP area closer to the main stage to enhance that experience, including yet another tent in the form of the EITP tent and an increase on the kids offering throughout the weekend – we hope for another brilliant weekend for our town!”

Eat in the Park 2022 takes place on 20th & 21st August and gates open 12 noon and closing time is 9pm each day. Read our review from last year here. Tickets are selling fast with 75% of VIP tickets now sold. Book now at ww2.theticketsellers.co.uk/buy-tickets/eat-in-the-park-2022
