In 2024, the much-anticipated Eat in the Park Music & Food Festival returns in Buxton, promising another show-stopping weekend for all the family. EITP Buxton takes place on 17th & 18th August 2024.

Award winning tribute acts for 2024

As in previous years, Eat in the Park will once again bring us award-winning tribute acts that will have you dancing all day long whilst food vendors serve up the best in delicious international cuisine. As ever the festival is a family affair with plenty of activities offer in the Kids Zone. Bring the whole family and enjoy a day of fun festivities and local talent.

All You Need to Know Before You Go

Whether you’ve already purchased your ticket or still undecided, you may have several questions about what to bring and what to expect – so here’s our essential ‘know before you go’ checklist, so you can make the most out of your visit.

What are the opening times?
11.30am – 9pm both days.

Will there be vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options?
Yes, most vendors are offering options for the above and other dietary requirements. Vendors are really friendly and will be open to chat through your options.

Can I buy tickets on the gate?
Tickets will be available on the gate but for best value and availability we recommend purchasing before the event.

Accessibility
Applications regarding accessibility requirements at Eat in the Park are now open. EITP is committed to making everyone’s experience an enjoyable one with ease of access throughout the festival.

Please do consider that EITP is an outdoor event with grass fields and grounds with gradients/uneven surfaces, whilst a great effort has been made to provide facilities to accommodate for this there will inevitably be some areas that are hard to navigate.

You can apply for a PA/Carer ticket. More details will follow in regards to the 2024 events.

Shall I bring cash or card?
Bring both with you as most vendors will be accepting both. Please note there are no ATMs on the sites.

Toilets
You don’t need to worry, there will be banks of toilets (added to the site for the event) in various locations around the site (see map below), with accessible/disabled toilets and also baby changing facilities.

Can I leave the festival and re-enter?
Yes, you are permitted to leave the site and re-enter! Whether it’s to feed the dog or drop the kids with the grandparents as long as you have your wristband on for re-entry all is good.

Are animals allowed at EITP?
No, the only animals that per permitted into EITP are guide dogs.

Can I bring my own chair?

Yes, if you would like to bring your own camp chair and picnic blankets you are most welcome.

Can I bring my own alcohol and food?
No food or alcohol is to be permitted into EITP with the exception of child & baby food. At EITP there is a multitude of vendors displaying some amazing cuisines with a great selection!

Bag policy
Only bring bags if absolutely necessary. Large items such as cool boxes and food hampers are not permitted and rucksacks will be checked upon entry.

Do I need to purchase a ticket for a 0-5 year old?
No, you just NEED to select the number of 0-5 year old tickets you require for health and safety purposes.

Print your tickets at home or have them ready on your phone
Once you’ve bought tickets they will be with you 2-3 weeks before the festival. Keep a lookout and remember to check your spam folder just in case they drop into there. To speed up your entry, print your ticket(s) or have it ready on your phone for scanning by staff. This will speed up your arrival.

Wear suitable clothing
If you are familiar with the area the you’ll know the weather in Buxton can be changeable! Make sure you check the forecast and dress suitably. It’s a good idea to wear sensible/comfy footwear.

First aid 
There is a first aid stand in the event of you needing any help with any first aid.
