Here’s our usual handy guide to Bonfire events in Buxton and the High Peak for 2023.
There’s nothing like putting on your winter warmies, standing round a big hot bonfire and watching fireworks magically light up the sky! Remember to take care if you’re using fireworks at home and keep pets indoors if you can around this time, but most of all…enjoy!

Buxton Rugby Club Bonfire and Fireworks Display
When: 3rd November 2023, gates open at 5.30pm, firework display at 7.15pm
Where: Buxton Rugby Club, Sunnyfields, Harpur Hill, Buxton, SK17 9PX
Entry / Cost: Tickets are pay on the gate only (cash please) – £6 per person or Family ticket £18 (x 2 Adults, 2 Children), under 3s free.

Whaley Bridge Community Bonfire and Fireworks
When: 4th November 2023, gates open 5.30pm, 6.30pm lighting of the bonfire, 7.30pm fireworks display
Where: Cricket Ground, Whaley Bridge
Entry / Cost: Adult £5 advance/£8 on gate, child £3 advance/£5 on gate, Family ticket £15 advance/£20 on gate. Children under 5 go free.

Glossop and District Round Table Fireworks Display
When: 4th November 2023, from 4pm
Where: Manor Park, Glossop
Entry / Cost: Adult £8 (+0.67p booking fee), Concession £4 (+0.34p booking fee), family ticket £20 (+£1.68) booking fee).
A great evening for all the family as well as money being raised for local good causes and charities.
Tickets can be purchased in some local outlets in Glossop: at Roy Green’s Quality Family Butchers Glossop, Dark Peak Books & Gifts, Martins Manor stores and in Hadfield D&D newsagents and Millers store.
Buxton Fireworks Spectacular at Buxton Cricket Ground
When: Sunday 5th November 2023, Gates open 4pm
Where: Buxton Cricket Ground, Park Road
Entry / Cost: Save money on advance tickets: Adult £7.50, Child £3.50 (under 13) and a family (2 adults and 2 children) ticket £18.
One of the High Peak’s biggest displays! Bigger and better than ever before, with more fairground rides and a happy hour from 4pm – 5pm when all fairground rides, including adults ones with be just £2 during the happy hour.
There will be two firework displays, various hot food vendors, sweets and candy floss, music, bars, family entertainment and a fairground for all ages.
Gates open 4pm
4 – 5pm – Happy Hour: All Fairground rides £2.00
5.10 – 5.30pm – Flambe Circus fire performers
5.40pm – Children’s Firework display (smaller and quieter)
5.55 – 6.15pm – Flambe Circus fire performers
6.15 – 6.40pm – Clubbercise & Zumba fitness with a twist!
6.45 – 7.05pm – Flambe Circus fire performers
7.20pm – Main spectacular firework display

Buxton Raceway – Family Fireworks and Races
When: Sunday 5th November 2023, action starts from 12.30pm
Where: Buxton Raceway, Dale Head Road, Buxton, SK17 0RR
Entry / Cost: Adult £18 per adult, Senior £17, Children 9 – 15yrs £8, Family ticket (2 adults/3 children) £50. Book tickets online or pay on the gate (advance tickets online are the cheaper price shown).

Dove Holes Fun Fair, Fireworks & Big Bonfire!
When: Sunday 5th November 2023, 4pm – 8pm
Where: Dove Holes Village Hall, Hallsteads, Dove Holes
Entry / Cost: £3 per child (16 and under), £5 per adult, £12 per family (2x adults, 2x children)
Affordable burgers, hot dogs, jacket potatoes, hot drinks and other winter warming snacks.

Sterndale Moor Bonfire Night & Fireworks Display
