There’s nowhere more idyllic at this time of year than the many heritage properties in area, when these houses and gardens provide beautiful settings for a range of Christmas themed events to get you in the seasonal spirit. The period finishings offer the perfect setting to step back in time to bygone eras and enjoy a truly traditional Christmas.

This year Sudbury Hall celebrate a Regency Christmas with inspiration from Giorgiana Vernon’s diary, an insight into what a family Christmas at Sudbury may have been like.
There’s also Christmas Crafts where you get creative with all the family and ‘A Christmas Carol’ served with breakfast.

You can help prepare the hall for Christmas and for one week only in November, visitors are invited to lend a hand to deck the halls! And during the festive season there’s Breakfast with Santa, Christmas Crafts, Sherry and Mince Pie Tours, Santa Claws Pooch Parade, Winter Solstice Lantern Walk and lots more for all the family.

Storytellers with the air of the Pied Piper will roam the halls enchanting visitors young and old as scenes from a selection of favourite tales leap off the pages, from classics like Snow White and Cinderella to contemporary stories like James and the Giant Peach and Charlotte’s Web.
Don’t forget to pick up a fun family trail at the entrance to see what mischief our friendly baby dragon is up to on the route.
Select rooms on the upper floor of the house will be closed for annual conservation during the Christmas season.
