Heavy snow has been forecast for Derbyshire and across many parts of the north of England, the East Midlands and parts of the south east.
The Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning of snow for Derbyshire, valid from 9pm on 11th February until 3pm on Sunday 12th February.
Sleet and snow is expected at times through Saturday night, becoming heavier during Sunday morning, particularly over the southern Pennines. The Met Office has warned the the snow will drift in the strengthening winds. Some transport routes and travel services may be affected.
During Sunday, an area of more widespread and at times heavy snow (rain or sleet at lower levels) is expected to develop along the Pennine chain, with drifting of snow in the strong northeasterly winds.
