About

Beautiful woodlands with winding shady pathways that lead to open grasslands with Solomon’s Temple at the summit. One of the main entries to the park is access at Poole’s Cavern.

Throughout the park you will find information panels explaining the wildlife that can be found here as well as various wooden carvings along the trail – see how many you can find!

As you wander along the various footpaths, the woodland is abundant with wild flowers, butterflies and insects during the summer – look out for groups of the Peacock Butterly near the summit in warmer months. Badgers, rabbits, bats and foxes are also resident here.

Once at the top, enjoy the lovely views across the Peak District.

Poole’s Cavern show cave and visitor centre is located at the entrance to the park.
Enjoy superb views of Buxton and the Peak District at the summit at Solomon’s Temple.
