Buxton’s Pavilion Gardens is hosting a unique gin tasting event on Friday 7th April, featuring over 100 artisan gins with hundreds of tonic and garnish combinations for gin fans to try.
Hosted by the same team who broke the world record for the largest gin tasting event at Stoke-on-Trent’s Town Hall in November 2016, the Gin Jamboree experts will be on hand to help guide you on the adventure!
Organiser Andrew Wilson, said, “The turnout for our Gin Jamborees has been phenomenal – with events selling out in a matter of days – so we advise gin enthusiasts to book early to avoid missing out.”
“It will be the first of its kind in Buxton, whether you’re already a fan of gin, or looking for an introduction. Our Gin Jamborees are a celebration of all things gin, giving us a legitimate excuse to mix up a cocktail and share our knowhow about the many, many exceptional gins that are now available.”
Ticket price includes a proper gin ‘fish bowl’ glass and programme to take home and a tasty Louisiana style Jambalaya supper. ‘Token Cards’ can be purchased and stamped for each Gin & Tonic with half measure tasters also available (similar format to a Beer Festival!). There will also be an Old School Wines bar for those who might prefer something other than Gin 🙂
Andrew, who recently launched his own range ‘Old School Gin’, added: “We have seen a whole cross section of people coming to our events from people in their twenties right up to people in their eighties.”
Tickets cost £15 and include supper, a gin ‘fish bowl’ glass and programme.
The event starts at 6.30pm until 11.30pm at the Pavilion Gardens, St Johns Rd, Buxton, SK17 6BE.
