The hugely popular Crich Tramway Village WWII Home Front event returns next month on 10th & 11th August 2019, where you can step back in time to 1940s Home Front Britain. Collect your identity card on entry and experience a real taste of life during the Second World War!
The Village will be transformed to take you back to the WWII era where historic wartime and military vehicles will be on show, mingling with the vintage trams from the 1940s period; visitors will able to ride the trams as much as they wish during their visit.
The Red Lion public house will be serving drinks including cask ales.
Visitors will be entertained with 1940s songs from Jane Darling, Miss Marina Mae and Kev Mac all day and a replica Spitfire will be on display.
There will be daily children’s activities including a ‘Bootcamp’ for those brave enough to face Sergeant Major Marmite!
Visitors are encouraged to dress for the occasion! Dress in 1940s clothes and receive a reduced admission charge (group rate).
General Admission prices on the door are £17.50 for adults, £14 for seniors (aged 60+), £10.50 for children (aged 4 – 15 years) and family tickets (2 adults, 3 children) £40.50. Save 50p on standard priced tickets by booking online at least 24 hours before arrival.
To purchase tickets for the WWII Home Front event, standard admission tickets are required. To book online go to tramway.co.uk/tickets. Please note 12 month free return tickets do not apply to this event. Crich Tramway Village is situated near Matlock and only 8 miles from M1 Junction 8.
Opening times
Main Season: 13th April – 8th September 2019, 10am – 5.30pm, Monday – Sunday (last admission 4pm).
Autumn Season: 9th September – 27th October 10am – 4.30pm (last admission 3pm), except weekends when we close at 5.30pm (last admissions 4pm).
Starlight Event 2019: 28th October – 2nd November (more details coming soon). Last day of the season 3rd November 2019.
