Buxton Spring Fair will return for its fifth year this year on Bank Holiday Monday, 1st May, Buxton Town Team announced this week. The hugely popular fair which began in 2013 is now a major annual event and celebrates the everything that is great about Buxton, its people and its exciting mix of independent businesses, crafts people, artists and more.
As in previous years, the fair will fill the whole of Buxton town centre – from Spring Gardens, round the Turner Memorial, across to the Pavilion Gardens, on The Slopes, over the Market Place and down the High Street – with a huge range of stalls and entertainment. There will be are local producers, retailers, clubs, societies and voluntary groups.
Activities planned include a climbing wall, an artificial cave, donkey rides, canoes, kids’ bikes, school sports, circus juggling, a health & therapy area, bands, dancing and street theatre.
The event is now one of the busiest events in the year for Buxton, attracts thousands of people and Buxton Town Team are now taking bookings for stalls at the fair. If you are a trader, local business, club, charity or performer, everyone is welcome – applications to take part are now open and guidance and application forms are available on the Buxton Town Team website.
