Buxton Roastery – Set your coffee apart from the crowd with artisan coffee roasting

Buxton Roastery

Buxton is famous for mineral water but the town’s new roastery is set to change that. Specialising in small batch, hand-roasted coffee using 100% Arabica beans from some of the finest growers in the world, Buxton Roastery will set your coffee apart from the crowd at your cafe or restaurant.

Offering a large selection of single origin coffees, available with dramatically different flavours, there is something to suit everyone’s taste. All the coffee is hand-roasted here in Buxton at their headquarters using the Probat Coffee Roaster, regarded as the world’s finest with a history dating back to 1868.

The Buxton Roastery offers taster sessions so restaurant and cafe owners can really explore the coffees you’ll be serving to your customers as well as getting involved with the blending process. You can get expert advice on the wide range of coffees and brewing methods to help you get the best from your coffee and make sure you serve a truly unique cup of coffee that stands out from the crowd.

The range coffees include Jaya Kopi – a rich Indonesian coffee, Shining Torr – their house blend and Peang Thai, a trade direct coffee from Phahee village in the Northern province  of Chiang Rai. You can see the full range of their website.

Owner Iain said “Our obsession for coffee started in 2004 with our restaurant business Simply Thai where we were constantly looking at different ways of improving our coffee. We went through many different coffee makers, innumerable brands and types of coffee but we were never totally happy with the results, so we decided to roast our own coffee and we were blown away with the results”.
