Where: Buxton Museum & Art Gallery, Terrace Road
When: Tuesday 11th to Sunday 16th July 2017 and Tuesday 18th to Sunday 23rd July 2017 at 1pm.
- The Derbyshire Open is an annual competition, now in its 35th year, and is open to both amateur and professional artists and entries are welcome from adults and children – awards will be given to both.
- Competition entrants are asked to capture an image of what Derbyshire means to the artist. The subject could be a landscape, a view of the artist’s home town, local people, representations of local legends or still life. Entrants can use most mediums, including oils, acrylics, watercolours, drawing, print, collage, manipulated digital imagery or three-dimensional work.
